ACT/IAC Conference 2019 | NewWave
About the Client: NewWave is a globally-recognized, federally-certified provider of innovative business solutions for government and industry.
Users/Audience: Members of ACT-IAC, leaders from both government and industry. They are interested in accelerating government mission outcomes through collaboration, leadership and education. The conference provides opportunities for professional networking, learning and exploration of emerging technology in the healthcare/technology/data industry.
Project Details: With only 5 weeks until the event date, NewWave was invited to participate as a keynote speaker with regard to their work on Blue Button 2.0 (BB2.0) with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The Creative Services team partnered with colleagues and executives to determine an effective but lean approach to 1) the keynote presentation, 2) blog posts and topical landing page content, 3) Hubspot social media campaign to drive traffic to online content, 4) square cards pointing to same content, and of course 5) a simple tradeshow booth design and setup.
My Contribution: For context, it’s relevant to point out that the Creative Services team was only about 1 month old since its formation and restructuring of surrounding corporate teams, so this was a successful first campaign! My role was to lead the team through an accelerated period of user research, topical research for effective visual communication and campaign planning. I designed the social media ads, hand-out cards and title slide and template for the presentation, and scheduled social posts in Hubspot. I oversaw the remaining elements of the project as other team members designed the presentation infographics, pop-up banner, ordered corporate swag for give-aways, deployed and managed the social media campaign, blog and landing page web content, and published PR to syndicated sites.
Outcome Summary: Mark Scrimshire, NewWave’s BB2.0 SME, presented successful keynote sessions using the presentation our team designed for him. The square cards were all distributed at the exhibit booth, and increased traffic was effectively directed to related blogs and publications online. NewWave won the “Innovation in Healthcare” and the “Impacter” Awards for 2019!
